“Best Valentines Day Ever”

“Went to Fitzroy at the suggestion of a friend, it was beautiful and relaxing. The views were wonderful, the sunsets romantic and made for the perfect Valentines day dinner. My wife and I along with another couple (great friends of 30 years) had dinner catered on the beach. Candles, the sound of the surf, and a wonderful sunset, what more can you do for your wife after 28+ years of marriage and talk about it on Tripadvisor.

Would recommend 2-4 days on-site, get the “activity” package as well. High marks for the room, nice beach view, breakfast was also well done.

If ever near Cairns again, we will spend a long weekend at Fitzroy!

“Not only were all of the staff friendly and accommodating, but I left my jacket in my room and they worked with me, over email and a few weeks, to ship it back to me in the US! I only have very positive things to say about the staff and overall accommodations. I highly recommend this island/resort!!

“A great coming back experience to Fitzroy”

“After our first trip to Fitzroy Island in December last year, we came back again in the beginning of April this year and stayed for 2 nights in a Beach Cabin which was a great choice. It’s an absolutely stunning view to the ocean and very quiet to sleep at night. The Cabin was ready and clean when we arrived with the afternoon ferry from Cairns. As the weather was superb, we did lots of snorkelling. It’s absolutely amazing what can be seen on the reef just of the beach. We also did the Lighthouse and Nuddy Beach walk. We went twice to have dinner at Foxy’s bar and enjoyed amazing sunsets each times. The food was excellent too. We definitely will be back.”

“From our check-in for the Fitzroy Flyer in Cairns to our stay at the the resort, staff were helpful, informed, professional and friendly. We had a fantastic family holiday, our room was clean, spacious and met all expectations. The walks, snorkelling and entertainment was great. We did the glass bottom boat tour which was educational, great guide – made us all laugh and highlighted the need for environment preservation and protection. Definitely a place we hope to visit again and spend more time there to fully experience everything the island has to offer.”

“To be honest we were nearly not going to come here due to the reviews, but we are so glad we went with our gut and decided to come. We have stayed at Fitzroy island for our honeymoon and it has been an amazing experience. We stayed in one of the beach cabins – it was absolutely perfect. Clean, modern, new and with the most amazing view. We have ate at both Foxys and Zephyrs and all food was amazing, SO fast to come out and all the staff were absolutely amazing. You can tell they are busy and working hard, but they always gave us the time of day and always with a smile on. We are really sad to leave (today is our last day). The beaches and views are AMAZING and like no experience we’ve ever had in Aus (and we’ve stayed at a lot of places). We cannot wait to bring our little one back. Thanks to all the beautiful staff that made our stay one of our most memorable travel experiences to date. If you read the below reviews – make your own decision. If you’re rude and expect a lot – might not be the place. But if you’re happy to experience a beautiful place and appreciate hard working staff – make sure you visit. We will be back.
