Set amongst the rainforest and moments from the beach, our Butterfly Bungalows are the perfect secluded island hideaway option for couples, families or groups of friends.
Our 3-star Butterfly Bungalows offer self-contained accommodations away from the main resort. We have six bungalows, each named after butterflies found on Fitzroy Island, including Lacewing, Ulysses, and Bird Wing.
Five of the bungalows can accommodate a maximum of four guests, with bunk beds available for up to two guests. One bungalow features a queen bed and is suitable for a maximum of two guests.
Each bungalow is equipped with a small internal food preparation area, including a mini bar fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster. You’ll also have a covered outdoor deck area with tables and chairs, a large Esky (cool box), and a Weber BBQ. Basic cooking items, plates, cutlery, and BBQ utensils are provided.
Scheduled van transfers are available from the jetty to transport you and your luggage to the bungalows upon arrival and departure. Please pre-book these transfers with the Reception team upon arrival.
The bungalows are serviced weekly or upon check-out. Guests have access to the resort guest laundry for a small fee, and a clothesline is provided for your convenience.
The resort has a small General Store where you can find basic food supplies such as milk, bread, and eggs. If you require additional food items or fresh meat, there is a Woolworths Supermarket (103 Abbot St.) a 10-minute walk from the Marlin Wharf boarding area for Fitzroy Flyer island transfers.
Please note rooms are serviced every 3 days. Additional towels available upon request.
Consumption of BYO alcohol and the lighting of fires are not permitted. We ask that all noise cease at 10 pm each night.
