Equipment Hire for Certified Divers
- Current dive certification (open water or above).
- Medical Declaration Form must be provided – click here.
- Certified Diver Form must be provided – click here.
- Equipment Rental Waiver form – to be filled in at FISH.
- Recent and regular dive history.
- Minimum of 20 dives for the participant and their buddy.
- If diver has not dived within the 6 months, a refresher on the skills in confined water will be conducted by a dive instructor.
- Dive supervisor will decide if the diving equipment rental is permitted.
- Participants have not suffered any illness or injury that may affect ability to dive safety.
- Participants are not taking any prescription medication, other that contraceptive pills.
- Divers must always have a dive flag on a reel which they can tow throughout the dive when they are diving.
- Divers must follow the 50/50 rule – On the surface with 50 bar or after 50 minutes whichever is the sooner.
- Pre Authorisation on credit card.
Refresher Course
Includes:
- Breathing underwater
- Regulator clearing
- Regulator recovery
- Mask clearing
- Equalization techniques
- Inflate and deflate a BCD at the surface
- Dive supervisor will decide if participants are permitted to go without a guide

- Performed more than 20 dives outside training dives.

- Divers must follow the 50/50 rule – On the surface with 50 bar or after 50 minutes whichever is the sooner.

PADI Open Water – 3 Day Course
Includes:
- 3 days of learning techniques for safe diving including:
- Breathing underwater
- Regulator clearing
- Regulator recovery
- Mask clearing
- Equalization techniques
- Inflate and deflate a BCD at the surface
- All dive equipment, study material and eLearning.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 12 years of age
- Medical Declaration Form must be provided – click here.
- A recreational dive medical AS – 4005.1 is to be provide by participants if
- They are over 45 years old
- Has or had any medical conditions mentioned in the declaration
- Has a Body mass index of more than 30 and a waist circumference of more than 102cm for males or 88cm for females.
Bubblemaker Program
Program Includes:
- Experience scuba diving under the direct care and supervision of a PADI professional.
- Students will take their first breaths underwater in water shallower than 2 metres.
- Learning about and use scuba diving equipment made for children – not adults.

- Must be at least 8 years of age

Certified Dives
- Must hold current dive certification (open water or higher)

- Participants are not taking any prescription medication, other that contraceptive pills.
Night Dives
- All ‘Certified Dives’ requirements listed above.
- 2 person minimum.
- Must have recently completed a daytime dive with the Fitzroy Island Sports Hub.
PADI Rescue Diver – 2 Day Course
Includes:
- 2 days of learning techniques for rescue diving. You will learn to:
- Identify and fix minor problems both underwater and on the surface before they become serious problems.
- Gain more confidence as a diver and snorkel
- Improve your navigation skills
- Use emergency equipment
- All dive equipment, study material, eLearning and certification.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 12 years of age (12 to 14-year-old divers may earn Junior Rescue Diver certifications).
- PADI (Junior) Adventure Diver certification – must have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive.
- PADI Open Water Divers may participate in Knowledge Development and Rescue Exercises in confined water.
- Current First Aid Primary and Secondary Care certification – must be within the last 24months. – not included.
